Morgan and Jon’s Downtown Dallas Engagement

I’m just going to say it – I take credit for introducing Morgan and Jon. A lifetime ago, I managed a coffee shop in a small town, and I hired both of them as baristas. Jon would sit in the café for hours noodling on the guitar while Morgan would hang out and tell stories over coffee blacker than her sense of humor. I left the coffee life to pursue photography, and I was absolutely elated when these two found me years later to tell me they were engaged.

Morgan and Jon met me early one spring morning at the Dallas Arts District for an engagement session with a twist – Morgan was going to wear a gorgeous champagne dress and wanted a “first look” as a preview to their upcoming wedding.

I brought along an Instax Mini 7 with some black and white film for Jon and Morgan to use during their session. It was a super fun activity for them, and they got to take home some instant memories while they waited for their full gallery.
